Healthy Families Home Visiting Program (HFHVP)
Pregnant or parenting youth may benefit from the Healthy Families America Program. Home Visitors provide support to youth who are facing challenges with navigating parenthood. We work from a strength based lens meaning every parent needs some help sometimes. The parent is the lead and center of developing culturally sensitive family driven goals.
The Healthy Families America program at The Center for Healthy Families provides home visitation to pregnant and parenting youth ages 13-24 up to the child’s third birthday. Families receive developmental education, parenting resources and supportive services.
The program focuses on the following goals:
- improve parent-child interactions and children’s social-emotional well-being;
- promote child physical health and development;
- model positive parenting;
- support family self-sufficiency;
- increase access to primary care medical services and community services
